The First Golf Business Circuit of Uruguay was held for the first time in 2001, based on the idea of gathering regional entrepreneurs and some European countries.

The aim was to gather amateur players to participate over a circuit of eight dates throughout the year, enjoying the six different pitches´ designs and characteristics, where sports and sociability go together.

Montevideo , Punta del Este and Carmelo, were the three chosen cities for the development of the event, in their clubs Four Season Resort & Golf Carmelo, La Tahona Golf Club, Club de Golf del Cerro, Cantegril Country Club and Club de Golf de La Barra.

Each stage, gathered an average of 140 players who came from different parts of the country and the region to enjoy the game, the relationship and its environment.

At the end of each stage, the award ceremony became a party, where you could taste a selection of wines from excellent wineries; take part in important raffles as well as in the prize presentation to the winners of the day, along with their family, friends and media.
